Why I want a degree from UTSA

I initially chose to attend UTSA because of its location.  It allows me to live on my own and commute to campus while also staying close enough to my family to attend my siblings’ sporting events and maintain a close relationship with them.  After my first year, this university became more than just a convenience, it became a school I was proud to attend.  The opportunities and resources it makes available to its students are invaluable.  I knew going into college that I wanted more than just a college degree; I wanted experience for “the real world” after college.  UTSA has ensured that I am prepared for my graduation coming up in May by hosting job fairs, requiring resume writing in classes, and giving me access to the career planning department.
