My Favorite Website
Pinterest is my absolute favorite website that I regularly visit. It has a clean and functional format. The design is in line with the purpose of the website, which is to create a platform for creative minds to share and exchange ideas. The pictures that take up your personalized home page are centered in rows. The white background creates contrast between each of the pictures that represents a new idea. The search bar is easy to find at the top of the page with tabs to the right that take you to a new page. Each new page has the pictures centered and type in grey which creates repetition so that the viewer never gets confused, there is also a red āpā logo at the top left on every page. This red āpā will send you to the home page if you click on it which is a great interactive feature. The proximity between the rows of pictures creates enough white space to separate the different ideas, while still allowing for the eyes to seamlessly scan through each idea. The other cool thing about Pinterest is if you see an idea that catches your eye and you want to know more, all you have to do is click on the picture and it will send you to the original website to get more information.
